The Joker: Year One story will start in the pages of Batman #142. So far I have NO interest in reading a "My Vision" of origin that's already told perfectly by a person who's going to butcher a legacy/milestone story. If you're going to waste readers time this should've been done next year for his 85th anniversary. Good writers know not to mess with Joker's backstory and leave him as mysterious as possible like the folks at Marvel were supposed to do with Wolverine.

DC POWER 2024 #1
Creative Team: N.K. Jemisin, John Ridley, Brandon Thomas, Lamar Giles, Shawn Martinbrough, Cheryl Lynn Eaton, and Alitha Martinez (W) Jamal Campbell, Edwin Galmon, Khary Randolph, Denys Cowan, Tony Akins, Asiah Fulmore, and Alitha Martinez (A)
Synopsis: DC Power returns for round two with brand-new
stories spotlighting Black characters from across the DC
Universe by an all-star cast of writers and artists! N.K.
Jemisin and Jamal Campbell return to the Hugo
Award-winning world of Far Sector for an epilogue
featuring the first meeting between Jo Mullein and John
Stewart! The Signal, Duke Thomas, finds inspiration from
an unlikely ally. Crispus Allen searches for a purpose
outside of being the Spectre--and goes to Renee Montoya
for guidance! Thunder and Lighting (Anissa and Jennifer
Pierce), cause sparks to fly at a community event crashed
by the Condiment King; Raphael Arce learns the secret
origin of the original Bloodwynd; Val-Zod, Earth-2's
Superman, contemplates the balance between his pacifist
philosophy and protecting the people of his universe; and
Nubia teams up with...Mr. Mxyzptlk?! All these stories and more, just in time for Black History Month!
Score: 7.0 (Fine/Very Fine-- A bunch of stories featuring almost every black superhero in DC [no Naomi, Power Girl 2, Bumblebee or Static, and Black Lightning was only mentioned] including a story about the supervillain Black Manta. Also, Bloodwynd kinda has an updated origin or they tried to make the character less confusing. Overall there are only a few stories I liked. Most of the stories I disliked were due to the art and specific characters. If you want to support black characters spend your $10.)

Batman/Superman: World's Finest Annual 2024 #1
Creative Team: Mark Waid, Cullen Bunn, Stephanie Williams, Dennis Culver, and Christopher Cantwell (W) Edwin Galmon, Rosi Kampe, Travis Mercer, and Jorge Fornes (A)
Synopsis: IT'S THE WORLD'S FINEST ANNUAL!
As the battle against Magog rages on Earth-22, Batman
and Superman discover a surprising secret by way of the
5th dimension! Meanwhile, Metamorpho's story picks up
after the events of the Elementary arc as our hero journeys
deep within an ancient tomb that may have a hidden,
deadly connection to his secret origin! Plus, Batman
recruits the Challengers of the Unknown for a top-secret
mission, and a special, sizzling story stars the Teen Titans'
most buzzworthy member, Bumblebee!
Score: 2.0 (Good-- I don't even know what was going on in
the main story. The art is slightly cute [along with the bickering]
depending on the character and kinda creepy looking. The
backup stories I give none of the fucks for because they're all

Marvel Voices Legends #1
Creative Team: David F. Walker, Justina Ireland & Various (W) Various (A)
Synopsis: Cornerstones of the Marvel Universe unite
in this jam-packed special! Captain America graces
the city skies - and dives headlong into the dangers
of its alleyways. Misty Knight gets the anniversary
treatment as she approaches fifty years of publication

the hope that springs eternal - Elijah Bradley makes
an explosive return to the spotlight! All this and more
from the program that brings you the world outside
your window in real-time - MARVEL'S VOICES kicks
off a triumphant new year of stories!
Score: 9.4 (Near Mint-- This was the better Black
History Month comic between the Big Two. This issue
had four normal stories that didn't feel like it was written
to be a quota or representative issue. It felt organic. It's worth the $6.)
Moon Man #1
Creative Team: Scott Mescudi, Kyle Higgins & David F. Walker (W) Marco Locati (A)
Synopsis: Superstar musician Scott "Kid Cudi" Mescudi makes
his comics debut in the extra-length first issue of the biggest
book of 2024! Scott Townsend is ready for a quiet life. Whatever
went wrong on that failed moon mission, whatever happened in
the missing minutes the cameras didn't capture, all he really
wants is to settle down back home. But those missing minutes
hold an Earth-shattering secret and, with all eyes turned to him,
Scott will soon find himself becoming something the world has
never seen before.
Score: 7.0 (Fine/Very Fine-- This is gonna hurt because I'm a
fan of Kid Cudi...I had a hard time trying to read this due to the
art. I love the coloring by Igor Monti but the pencil work is so
lacking and sketchy looking I have NO interest in what the
characters are talking about. I love the colorful splash pages.
I think this story would work best as a live-action series on Netflix or Amazon.)

Score: 7.0 (Fine/Very Fine-- A bunch of reprints from Wonder
Woman v7 #1-5 & #800. There's a new story in the middle that
doesn't matter and I feel it will recap in a later issue. If you're
