-My Thoughts: Basic summary Doc Ock returns to an old abandoned laboratory to discover this Dodecahedron but has no memory of it so the story goes into a flashback to when he was Spider-Man and realizes he contained a miniature star in the Dodecahedron. Now he's trying to find a way to get that power out but instead, he released the latest supervillain known as Supernova and she wants revenge on Spider-Man. Decent story and set up but it's not worth paying $6.99. This is a $3.99 story Marvel could've charged $4.99 and I would've been begrudgingly okay with knowing they're about to whack me harder with another #1 which will probably (I hope not) cost more than this book.

-My Thoughts: Since Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel was a little girl she always wanted to see dawn break across a different sky and after she became Captain Marvel she's done so and more. She arrives in Antalyion, City of the Thrones for Unification Day. One year of peace since the Kree & Skrull became one people. She meets up with Emperor Dorrek-Vell aka Hulkling and his husband Wiccan in celebration of one year of peace. All of a sudden Kree Sentries dropped from the skies along with some zombie Kree Accusers. They kidnap Hulkling which enraged Wiccan unleashing magical energy everywhere. Carol tells him to calm down and reassure him that she will find his husband. So she flies to the Supreme Intelligence and finds Hulkling being analyzed. Carol frees him but they are under attack by the experimental Kree Zombie soldiers. Carol goes into full Binary Mode and explodes the entire place in time to watch the sunrise on Antalyion with Hulkling and Wiccan. The story sucks the art is chicken scratch & looked rushed. Kudos to the colorist for trying to make the book look good. Definitely not worth $4.99. If you buy this book buy it for The Marvels variant but I don't even recommend it. Also, there's a Photon backup story that's equally bad too. Nuff said.

-My Thoughts: Miyamoto Usagi is walking through a gloomy forest hoping to find a place to stay the night. He sees a family being attacked by ghosts and runs to their defense. One of the ghosts managed to get away with the daughter (Sachi) of the charcoal makers. The parents begged Usagi to rescue her and he vowed to do what he could. He reaches a castle and inside a voice asks why he's risking his life for a charcoal maker's daughter. He replies all lives have value and the voice tells him he sealed his fate and they await on the top floor. As he goes up the stairs he's attacked really fast by Sickle-Weasel (aka Kama-Itachi). Because of the Sickle-Weasel's fast movements, Usagi closed his eyes and used his other senses to cut down the shifty weasel. Usagi is basically in the Game of Death where he's fighting all kinds of demons and ghosts as he climbs to each level. The last floor to go who could be next how about everyone at once? After many battles, Usagi finds out the voice is Jei (I call him Sho-Nuff 😏). They both swore this would be the final battle between the two and ensued into a raging battle with each other. In the middle of this heated battle you hear calling for Ameki and the scene changes to a little girl reading a manga about her ancestor Usagi Yojimbo while her dad tells her she's late for her lessons. As the father & daughter are walking, Ameki asks if their ancestor was great and says he looks like Miyamoto Usagi. Dad replied a manga wouldn't lie and said Sakai based the character designed on him. Ameki doesn't think Sakai is very good (reminds me of Frank Cho's daughter). She asked her dad if he was leaving soon to which he responded he had to check out the disturbance at the edge of the White Star Province. Ameki asked if she could go (we have a Carol Danvers over here 😏😅) and the father told her not this time but that she would make it to deep space one day. Totally forgot this was called Space Usagi 😅, I really enjoyed this non-regrettable $4.99 comic. I love how Sakai illustrates violence & death without making it look gruesome. It looks so innocently clean and under the radar, a child could read and enjoy it. Highly recommend this comic and I also pick up either the Peach Momoko (Dogu has an exclusive foil version), Chrissie Zullo's, or all of them.
