My Adventures with Superman is an American animated superhero television series based on the DC Comics character Superman. The series is developed by Jake Wyatt, and produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Studios. The series premiered on Adult Swim at midnight on July 6, 2023!
Synopsis: The story follows both Clark Kent who has a crush on Lois Lane, as he builds his secret identity as Superman and explores his own mysterious origins, and Lois Lane, on her way to becoming a star reporter, with whom she has a crush on Clark. Teaming up with Clark's roommate photographer Jimmy Olsen, they break the stories that matter and save the day against many villains.
Adventures of a Normal Man: Part 1
Episode 1: In Smallville, Kansas, a young Clark Kent discovers he has superpowers after awakening them to save a woman from a car accident. Years later, Clark
and his alien conspiracy
theorist roommate Jimmy
Olsen goes for their first day
as an intern at the Daily Planet,
where they get convinced by
senior intern Lois Lane to look
into the theft of a military-grade
technology stockpile. With help from the Newskid Legion (aka Newsboy Legion), they found the thieves loading military robots at the Metropolis
docks, they send a robot
after the interns. After being
knocked out of view by the
robot, Clark disguises
himself and uses his powers
to destroy one of the robots,
only for the thieves' leader to
activate all of the remaining
robots. With Clark getting their attention, Lois successfully deactivates the robots while Clark keeps her safe and keeps his identity secret. During the fight, he mysteriously unlocks new powers. Despite their work, Lois is unable to get her boss Perry White to publish the story or the blurry photos they took without real proof of the metahuman who Lois dubbed "Superman".
Episode Review: Young Clark looks like Jon Kent when he was a kid. Jimmy being black (again), his look resembles the 90s-looking Chris Rock who was rumored to be Jimmy in Nicholas Cage's, Superman Lives movie. How does Clark not know how to control his strength at his age? Also, how does he get a black eye from an EVA Mecha? I'm guessing Clark hasn't fully mastered and unlocked his "All For One" yet.

My Adventures With Superman
Overall Review: So far I'm not feeling this series. It feels like a mockery of anime. Superman isn't no All Might...yet. Due to the heavy diversity, a lot of the characters weren't recognizable like Flip being a girl and the total appearance change of Leslie & Slade threw me off. Thanks to Lois and Jimmy being two annoying characters Perry comes off like an ABM (and he looks like an older version of Young Justice's Black Lightning). Why did Pa Kent look much older than Ma Kent? Clark's Sailor Moon transformation was kinda weird and not at the same time. I kinda like the idea of him transforming into his super suit (doubt he will again). Predicting the visions Clark saw will probably involve Brainiac leading into the season finale. I'm going to continue watching to see if this series grows on me.
Series Premiere Score: 8.0 (Very Fine)
You can catch My Adventures with Superman every Thursday at midnight on Adult Swim, with episodes released on Max the following day.

Adventures of a Normal Man: Part 2
Episode 2: Obsessed with finding out more about Superman, Lois follows up on the thieves for a lead while Clark returns to his childhood home in Smallville to find more clues on his past and what is triggering his new powers. He activates a hologram speaking an alien language, sees mysterious visions of an alien planet apparently involved in a space war being destroyed, and finds himself in new alien clothing, to which his mom Martha Kent adds a belt and pair of shorts. The thieves' leader
Leslie Willis (😮😮😮) attacks a team of secret agents from the organization she stole the technology from and arranges a meeting with them; meeting with their leader, Slade Wilson (Who is unmentioned), she threatens to detonate explosives she has lined up in Metropolis' sewers unless they leave her
alone. Lois and Jimmy
inadvertently disrupt the
meeting, turning it into a
scramble for the detonator
while Willis reveals she is
wearing a super-suit that
grants electrokinesis.
Superman arrives and
removes her suit's power crystal before destroying it after it gives him more visions of the space war. Superman checks on Lois and Jimmy while Willis mysteriously disappeared later to be known she was taken prisoner by Wilson, who begins torturing her for information about Superman. The clear photos Jimmy took of the fight convince Perry to publish, only for the group to learn Perry gave the byline to Cat Grant who was uninvolved in the incident.
Episode Review: I would not have guessed that neither characters were Livewire and Deathstroke. I think the visions will play a big part in the season finale (and introduce Brainiac). Superman gets a cool suit from his peeps (which reminds me of the New 52 / MoS) and his mom comes to add a belt and red underwear (way to go Martha).
