My Thoughts: I overall enjoyed the film. It's visually beautiful and amazing. Between the present day and flashback, Black Adam killed over 106 people. Amon was Adam's Freddy geeking over him being a superhero and trying to be his manager. Brosnan was great as Doctor Fate. The only problems I have with the film are...
1. Of course the race swap. Aldis Hodge and Quintessa Swindell both did a great job but I always want to see characters the way they're meant to be. Also if you don't know that Hawkman has anger issues some may think he's an A.B.M. with wings. A few months ago Grace Randolph called Hodge a Black Panther rip off and folks online got upset about it. Truth be told he kinda looks like the late Chadwick BosemanT'Challa and the interior of his ship kinda has a cheap Wakandan Tech
vibe. If Marvel Studios wanted a new actor to play Black Panther they should hit Hodge up.
2. Why and where did the JSA come from? I know Black Adam has a history with the JSA in the comics but why them for the movie? The why comes from where have they been in the DCEU? Where were they when the Kryptonians invaded or Enchantress reigned terror? Why didn't Waller call the JSA with the Butterfly Invasion instead of the Justice League? Hell, why didn't Waller call the Justice League to take down Black Adam? What was the point of even having Cyclone in the movie? I felt like she was there because we need a superheroine and a pointless low-key romance between her and Atom Smasher.
3. Very minor but they dropped the ball on introducing Nassour in a post-ending credit or a future DCEU film.
Score: I give Black Adam a 9.4 (near mint).
