Review: Sigh. This series feels like a fan film starring cosplayers. Usopp not having his trademark nose is weird and he should've been either Mexican or Armenian instead of Jamaican (I'm aware he's from South Africa). The action is pretty
good (the scenes that have Zoro & Sanji
in them). The big action moves slowly.
The Den Den Mushi is literally the best
thing in the series 😅. A few of the
scenes follow more towards the manga
vs. the anime such as how Zeff lost his
leg & how Bell-mere was killed. I was
hoping they would redo the original
opening. The first season has 8 episodes
and it roughly covers key plots from the first 96 chapters of the manga & 45 episodes of the anime. It reminded me of Max Landis's Death of Superman film cuz this series tells the same story as the source material but completely differently. For example...
-Zoro fighting Mr. 7 was only mentioned in the series.
-Buggy's Circus.
-Overuse of Koby.
-Instead of fighting Kuro on the beach, they fought him in a haunted type mansion.
 -No Jango!!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
-The Strawhats fought Don Krieg (instead of Arlong) at the Baratie followed by Mihawk who was not sent there by Luffy's Grandfather.
-Garp meeting up with Luffy 270+ episodes too soon.
Word on the Street Jamie Lee Curtis is supposed to be in season 2. I'm hoping she's not going to be Smoker. Speaking of season 2, I wonder if Nami's boobs will get bigger in each season 🤔?
Even with Oda's commentary tributes, the series overall is watchable and can be enjoyed by actual & non-fans of the series. After watching this series I have a great urge to rewatch Gokaiger.

Hey hey geeks & geekettes just finished watching Netflix's live-action One Piece series and I'm here to drop my 2 cents. One Piece is a fantasy adventure streaming television series developed by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda for Netflix. The series is a live-action adaptation of the ongoing 1997 Japanese manga series of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, who served as a major creative consultant for the series. It is produced by Kaji Productions, Tomorrow Studios, and the manga's publisher Shueisha.
If you're not familiar with the manga or anime the series follows the adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates as they explore the dangerous oceans to the Grand Line in search of the "One Piece", a fabled treasure that will make their captain, Monkey D. Luffy, "King of the Pirates". But the Marines are on their tail, and they're not the only crew searching for the One Piece. Armed with set skills and an unbreakable friendship, the Straw Hats are ready for the journey and even more ready to fight for their dreams together.
The series ensemble cast includes Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D Luffy), Emily Rudd (Nami),
Mackenyu (Zoro), Jacob Gibson (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji) as the initial five members of the Straw Hat Pirates.
