Plot: Following the events of Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers destroys the Supreme Intelligence, which led to a war between the Kree & Skrull. Hala becomes bleak due to the loss of its air and water, along with its sun dying as well.
In the present day, the new leader of the Kree, Dar-Benn succeeds in finding one-half of the Quantum Bands, of which Kamala Khan has the other half. Dar-Benn harnesses the power of the Band to tear apart a jump point in a space, which would later be discovered by S.W.O.R.D.
Nick Fury calls in Carol & Monica Rambeau to investigate a jump point anomaly near the Kree-Skrull Peace Talks and S.A.B.E.R. (which should be called The Peak). When Monica touches the jump point, she, Carol, and Kamala switch powers. The switching causes the three to fight each others' Kree enemies, leaving the Khans' house destroyed in their wake. As the three women return to their original places, Fury and Rambeau visit Kamala on Earth.
Overall: I give The Marvels 8.5 (Very Fine+). It's not a bad movie but it has a low score because I can't see myself rewatching this film repeatedly for enjoyment. If anyone wants to hit me up on Threads we can talk about it. Lastly, for anyone looking for comic key issues,
Jason listed them a while ago. Thanks again to Cinemark for bringing back Screen X so we could enjoy the film in the theater properly. For more, geek-related reviews & content follow Geekpin Entertainment on Threads, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Stay geeky gang.

Thoughts: Straight up I have no solid words for this movie so I'm gonna go with keywords & gibberish. Not a bad movie. I'd rank it somewhere in the center of all the MCU films. I laughed and got a lil teary eye (I like family moments because I lack having one) throughout the film. These 3 ladies are the female "Trinity" of the MCU. Kamala is adorable (and annoying for using her powers, putting everyone in danger). I love Goose (as does Fury). I dislike the drawn-on design-looking pattern suits Carol wore (make some real costumes!). I like the more accurate comic look of the Supreme Intelligence. They explained a lot of things such as wtf Carol has been doing for the past 30 years and how Goose ended up with her. The Flerkens going all Yoshi on everyone reminded me of the baby scene from The Flash. I still don't understand the Skrull shit. Was everyone on S.A.B.E.R. a Skrull in disguise? I think this movie takes place before Secret Invasion. Carol is a Marvel Disney Princess now (Congrats Brie). No after-credit scenes. It's far from being a big or even a blockbuster. It's a fun movie with high stakes done right (or at least better) compared to the last two Thor films.

What is the up geeks & geekettes? I'll be giving you my semi-spoiler-ish-free review of Marvel's 33rd film, The Marvel! The Marvels is the sequel to the film Captain Marvel and the continuation of the TV miniseries supposedly no one liked known as Ms. Marvel. The film features Marvel characters Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel (Brie Larson), Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris), and Kamala Khan / Ms. Marvel (the adorable Iman Vellani), alongside Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton), Emperor Dro'ge (Gary Lewis), Prince Yan (Park Seo-Joon), and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury (I'm aware of what I said). In the film, Danvers, Rambeau, and Khan team up after they begin swapping places with each other every time they use their powers.
